GMC Jimmy Hard To Start Hot And Cold

Q. Hi, I have a 1992 GMC Jimmy 4x4; in order for me to start the engine I have to give it gas, when I do it starts and runs fine. I have changed the plugs, wires cap and button, air filter and the ignition coil. I have also changed the fuel pump, and filter and replaced the starter. What could be causing this problem?

I ran a code check on the computer and everything is fine, no Check Engine Light or anything. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Keith

A. It may not be getting the correct signal from the Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) so the engine doesn't know how much fuel it needs to start. Could also be the Idle Air Control Motor not opening enough so it will idle fast. Could also be the ECM. A good driveability tech should be able to figure it out. Good luck.
