Pontiac Grand Oil In The Coolant?

Q. Please let me know if Pontiac Grand Am's have a known Intake manifold problem? I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am just diagnosed. I had oil in the coolant reservoir.

Thank You,

Pontiac Grand Oil In The Coolant?

A. If it has a 3.1 liter or a 3.4 liter V-6 the intake may be leaking. They usually leak coolant or oil at the gasket area near the valley intersection. Oil in the coolant? Are you sure it wasn't just yukky looking stuff from the sealer added at the factory by GM? Most intake leaks are coolant in the oil, not oil in the coolant.
