Pontiac Grand Prix Wheel Bearings Q. Hi, sir. I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and I have a problem with a wheel bearing. There is two models and at GM auto parts, they just don’t know what is the difference between both. There is one with a plastic bracket that holds the wire for ABS and the other one is stainless steel.

I wonder if I can use either one because the one with the plastic bracket is about $200.00 dollars less than the other.

A. If the bolt pattern is the same as well as the spline for the half shaft, see if the cheaper one will hook up to the speed sensor. If so use it. If GM parts doesn't know if it will fit, will they take it back and exchange it if it won't??
