Oldsmobile 88 PCV Valve Location
Q. 1992 Oldsmobile 88 Royale. The car has 95,000 miles and the engine runs good; just trying to do some miscellaneous tune-up work. Like so many before me, where is the PCV valve located? I have seen graphics posted of various, later model, Oldsmobile 3800 series 2, and according to what I've been able to glean off the NET, the 3800 engine.
Based on the car's age, I think it's a series 1 engine, the PCV should be located under the MAP sensor located at the top front (passenger side) of the engine. A thermoplastic cover has the letters PCV embossed on it at that location, but either it's hidden under my nose or it isn't located there. Point me in the right direction?

JimA. If that plastic piece is black plastic, you need to turn it and lift it up to get under it. The valve should be inside manifold under a round black plastic cap that turns about ¼ turn.
