Honda Accord New Clutch; No Clutch

Q. First Q. I have an 89 dodge caravan that was stolen from me and I need to change the steering column. It shifts on the column w/tilt, any tips. second Q. I have a 95 chrysler grand voyager that I need to change the C.V boot on, no idea what I'm getting into. I have a book but it doesnt say much but to buy a relacement kit. the parts store says there isnt a kit you can only buy the boot itself. Any info you can give me on iether of the subjects would be greatly appreciated. thanks, JOE

Honda Accord New Clutch; No Clutch

A. I'm assume the clutch is not disengaging, or is it not engaging?

Here is the adjustment procedure. Let's see if that takes care of it. If not you will have to pull the transmission out to see what you did wrong.

  1. Turn cable adjusting nut located on cable casing near transaxle, Fig. 1. until free play at release arm is 13/64-1/4 inch on Accord and 5/32-13/64 inch on all other models.
  2. After adjusting release arm free play, check clutch pedal height at the clutch release point and clutch pedal free play.
