New to Auto Repair? Start With the Basics

Saturday June 26, 2010

It's never a bad time to start doing your own repairs or maintenance. If you've been putting it off, now's the time to dive in head first and get a little grease on your fingers. Or you can wear surgical gloves and stay clean, but it's still time. I believe in starting with the basics, and there's nothing more basic than an oil change. It's a simple procedure that you can do yourself with simple tools. It shouldn't take more than an hour or so, and you'll feel great when it's done! If you're ready to change your own oil, I'm ready to show you how. What are you waiting for?

(1) Eric Anderson says:

I believe it is more important than ever to have a basic understanding of your car and being able to do simple mechanical fixes to your car. Like a few that are simple to do and do not require any special tools or skills. This is just a few probably not all. There is the oil change, brake change, rotate the tires, flushing the cooling system, spark plugs and wire change, check tire pressure and checking the different fluids and knowing what to look for if they need to be changed or need fluid to be added or taken out.
This is only a few of them that I can think of at the top of my head.
