I'm no expert on auto insurance, which is why I'm leaving the auto insurance advice to the experts at Smartmoney.com. They recently published this interesting and enlightening article, "10 Things Your Auto Insurer Won't Tell You." It's definitely worth a read. For example, did you know that your insurance rate can be affected by your credit history? Wow, that can be a real bummer for somebody with a perfect driving record but an old credit card default. Check it out.

What the heck does my credit history have to do with the likelihood of me getting in an accident? Should I pay more for auto repair than people with great credit also?

What the heck does a credit score have to do with my driving? Could it be that they use this to increase the rate I pay? Well what about if you have bad teeth? That should be good for a extra few bucks each month to the insurance company. What about bald people? If ya aint got no hair, mabe the glare from the top of your noggin may cause a car crash? I know what about the drivers who wear white socks? They must be bad drivers. Lets increase their rates as well.
Folks, auto insurance is a scam. If we could see in black and white what the insurance companies pull in each year in profit everybody would be screaming for lower rates. This is why so many big shot insurance companys CEO’s are worth millions. I have a great idea. Lets say you dont have a claim in five years. I say then the insurance companys should refund every penny you had paid to them in five years. What about that insurance companys CEO’s?
