Matthew's Auto Repair BlogToo Old For Auto Repair? Think Again. You're never too old to learn how to repair your own car. Robert Brown of Long Beach, California is proof of that. Robert had an old Cadillac in his garage, a very old Cadillac. His family were the proud owners of a 1927 Cadi way back in 1934, and he still has the car. Unfortunately, it had been more than a few years since this Cadillac had seen the road. Instead of paying a restoration house a small fortune to bring it back, Robert was determined to do the work himself. He had no training in auto repair, but decided to enroll in one of Long Beach City College's automotive classes. For the next year and half, the 84-year-old learned how to restore his car hands on. Before long, he was the proud driver of the same 1927 Cadillac his family drove with pride some seven decades earlier. If you ever needed proof that you can learn to work on your car any time you're ready, here it is! Stop procrastinating and coming up with lame excuses. It's time for you to seize the day, and get busy with some auto repair and maintenance. Read the full story about Robert's amazing journey. Photo copyright 2008, Long Beach Press Telegram.
