DIY ... Nigerian Style

Monday October 29, 2007
Today I read about a guy in Nigeria that took a bunch of spare parts, including a motorcycle engine, and managed to construct a helicopter that actually leaves the ground. If this guy can take what appears to be very little money and become airborn, there's no reason in the world that you can't do your own auto maintenance and repairs. I'm in no way suggesting that you try to build a flying machine out of a kiddie pool, a nylon moo-moo and a Kitchen-aid, but replacing your air filter is a healthier alternative.

Nylon Moo Moo??

Are we talking about a very strange cow - or maybe the Hawaiian muu muu?

I think I meant muu muu. But a nylon cow might work just as well.

I can’t believe nobody’s made a Harley joke… yet.

OK, I guess I got ahead of myself by posting before I read the article… turns out there’s a Taiwanese motorcycle engine going in a helicopter? Comic gold!
