Assembling an Engine Hoist (Just In Case)

Tuesday July 24, 2007
This may seem an obsure topic to some, but for those who have stared at a pile of shiny red engine hoist pieces trying to figure out how to assemble the thing using only the 1-page, poorly printed, half-written-in-Cantonese instruction sheet, you know why this is necessary. If you haven't tried to put together an engine hoist, you should definitely check out this detailed tutorial before you have a go at it. It's always the little things that make a seemingly simple job a nightmare. This how-to will give you sweet dreams ... at least until you take the head off your engine to discover that your foray into overreving your engine has cost you three bent valves. But at least your frustrations will be well directed!
