Ford Explorer Fuel Recommendations
Q. Dear Mr. Vincent: As an avid reader of your web site I must complement you on your work, very detail, very precise and informative. I wish to seek your help regarding a product that increases gas mileage up to 24%. The product is called Tornado Air Twister which is being sold at Pep Boys. My question to you is does it really work?
My second question is I am an owner of a 1998 Ford Explorer with a V-6 engine, what is the best grade of gas I should use?

Use regular unleaded fuel, 87 Octane. Mid-grade and Premium fuels may increase the probability of carbon buildup, leading to a knock noise.
